Washington Office Update Breakout II: Starting from Scratch: New Recipes for Ebook Models that Work
Download to my calendar
Libraries and start-ups are taking on the ebook challenge by creating their own solutions to get ebooks into the hands of library readers. Join speakers, Linda Crowe and Heather Teysko from Califa, a not for profit membership cooperative serving libraries and other information services in California; Jamie Larue from Douglas County Public Libraries in Colorado; and Tim Coates from Bilbary Ltd, a web based ebook rental business model for a lively discussion about their projects. What was the motivating force that pushed them in the direction that they took? What have they learned along the way and how do they envision their futures? This panel will be moderated by Chris Harris, Coordinator/School Library Systems, Genesee Valley BOCES and member of the ALA Digital Content and Libraries Working Group (DCWG).
