The Washington Office’s Office of Government Relations will host a panel discussion exploring the copyright landscape on Capitol Hill at the start of the 113th Congress. The outcome of the recent elections, as well as activity in the courts will be discussed. In addition, the potential for legislation being introduced on copyright-related topics such as the first sale doctrine (dependent upon the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Kirtsaeng v. Wiley & Sons, Inc.), orphan works, Section 108, and the Chafee Amendment will be explored.
